In order to succeed in school, every student must learn both formal and hidden curricula (social) curriculum. The hidden curriculum is often a consequence of the structure, which requires students to learn. The school is “miniature society” and many people fail at school because they are either unable or unwilling to learn or use of values, attitudes and skills contained in the hidden curriculum. Many schools do a disservice to students when they make them feel that they are not in education when they have only failed to comply with the socialization of school standards.
